Ogbemi Ofuya

Mr. Ofuya has 15 years of relevant professional experience. While serving on the UPDC FM board, he is also a partner at Helios Investment Partners, an African-focused private investment firm. He has significant transaction and operations experience in oil and gas and related industries.

Before his current roles, he worked in the Natural Resources group of the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs International, where he executed M&A, debt, and equity transactions across oil and gas, power, and mining sectors with a particular focus on Africa. Earlier in his career, he held project management and strategy roles with ExxonMobil and Standard Chartered based in Nigeria. Mr. Ofuya serves on the Boards of Axxela, Starsight Power Utility Limited, and Tema LNG Terminal Company.

He earned an MBA in Finance from London Business School, where he was a Mo Ibrahim Scholar, and holds a B.Eng degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Benin, Nigeria.
