CHAIRMAN, UPDC FM Ltd.

Mr. Adeniyi Falade is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Stockbroker and an Investment Banker. He had his professional accountancy training at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Coopers & Lybrand Limited, Lagos. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc), from the University of Ibadan. Before his appointment as Managing Director, CrusaderSterling Pensions Limited in 2007, Mr. Falade had served as the Managing Director of Lead Capital and Head of Investment Banking Group of Ecobank Nigeria Plc and Lead Bank Plc. He had also at various times served as Head of Internal Control/ Chief Inspector and Head of Risk Management Department of Lead Bank Plc. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Custodian Life Assurance Limited, Custodian Trustees Limited and Interstate Securities Limited.

Tokunbo is the Managing Director of UPDC FM Ltd. She is a Facilities & Property Management professional with a working knowledge of building, facilities, and power management operations, as well as a demonstrated aptitude for rapidly assimilating new concepts, technologies, industries, and cultures. With over 25 years of experience in ICT, strategy formulation & implementation, process deployment, change and operations management in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms, and Real Estate sectors. She spent the early parts of her career running enterprise-wide business transformation projects for global blue-chip companies such as British Telecom, AT&T, and Capital One Financial Services in the UK, US, and Europe. Tokunbo is passionate about the Facilities Management industry and is very focused on technology to drive efficiency and value to clients. Her more recent positions include Director at Afriland Plc, and MD/CEO of Willco — a facilities, property & power management company she founded in 2009. Tokunbo has managed some of the largest premium Facilities Management portfolios in Nigeria across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. She holds an MBA from Duke University, Fuqua School of Business in North Carolina, alongside various professional qualifications.

A consummate real estate professional, Mr Odunayo Ojo has been involved in property development, asset management, private equity and advisory services for various asset classes including master-planned communities, mixed-use schemes, shopping centres, commercial buildings, and hotels. He has held several roles such as CEO of Alaro City, Director of Development and Projects at Eagle Hills, Abu Dhabi, Development Director at Laurus Development Partners, Vice President at Ocean and Oil Holdings, and Business Manager at UPDC Plc. Mr. Ojo is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), and a Registered Surveyor and Valuer (RSV). He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Estate Management.

An investment principal with over 10 years of experience in the financial industry, Damilola is a member of the board as well as an investment principal for African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM) and supports the Pan-African investment team with origination and execution of transactions, primarily in West Africa. Damilola was a member of the transaction team executing AIIM funds’ investment into Starsight Power Utility Limited (the primary partner of UPDC FM) among others. Damilola sits on the board of Starsight Power Utility Limited. Before his current roles, Damilola worked in Jefferies LLC’s Mergers and Acquisitions group in New York City where he executed transactions across sectors, including infrastructure, and before this, he interned at Renaissance Capital and Goldman Sachs’ investment banking divisions. Damilola earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Tony is CEO of StarSight Power Utility, the primary partner of UPDC FM, and a leading off-grid power and cooling provider focused on the Nigerian commercial power sector with more than 360 operational projects in 35 States of Nigeria. StarSight is backed by Helios Investments LLP and AIIM. A Mechanical engineering professional with extensive business management experience in the mining, exploration, civil, agriculture, power, and transport sectors, he has extensive experience in developing operational businesses in emerging markets with exposure in over 28 countries. He is the founding partner and former CEO of MonuRent, Africa’s largest pure-play mining equipment rental business. Having lived in West Africa for 10 years and operated business throughout the Ebola epidemic, Tony and his family are passionate when it comes to supporting the underprivileged in Africa operating a home for challenged children in Sierra Leone as well as advising African startups as a mentor for CCHUB Incubator Group.

Mr. Ofuya has 15 years of relevant professional experience. While serving on the UPDC FM board, he is also a partner at Helios Investment Partners, an African-focused private investment firm. He has significant transaction and operations experience in oil and gas and related industries. Before his current roles, he worked in the Natural Resources group of the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs International, where he executed M&A, debt, and equity transactions across oil and gas, power, and mining sectors with a particular focus on Africa. Earlier in his career, he held project management and strategy roles with ExxonMobil and Standard Chartered based in Nigeria. Mr. Ofuya serves on the Boards of Axxela, Starsight Power Utility Limited, and Tema LNG Terminal Company. He earned an MBA in Finance from London Business School, where he was a Mo Ibrahim Scholar, and holds a B.Eng degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Benin, Nigeria.

Chijioke is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all technical processes. He has over 11 years of experience in mechanical and electrical building services engineering where he designed and supervised highly serviced projects in the private and public sectors. Before his role at UPDC FM Ltd, he was a design/project engineer at Molecular Consultants & Associates. As a building services consultant, Chijioke has worked on design, supervision, and project management of projects in the residential, commercial, financial, education, healthcare, hospitality, and sports sectors. Chijioke has National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Yaba College of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (Industrial& Production Engineering Technology) from the Federal University of Technology Owerri. He is a COREN registered engineer, a member of The Nigerian Society of Engineers, and a member of The Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

With over 15 years work experience in integrated facilities management, Yemisi brings her applied learning experience, high drive and interpersonal skills to every position she occupies. She is a graduate of Estate management from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile- Ife and holds an executive certificate in Project management in practice – Monitoring, controlling and change management. She is also a member of the international and local (Abuja) branch of IFMA. Yemisi commenced her career as an assistant manager, maintenance and monitoring with VGC maintenance and Management Co. Ltd, Victoria Garden City, Lagos. After leaving Lagos for Abuja, she worked with Asset Management Group Ltd as a Property Manager and proceeded to Urban Shelter Facility Management Co. Ltd now known as Principal facilities management before joining the UPDCFM team.

Michael is a building/facilities management expert with over 10 years of experience in facility management and project management with top-notch proficiencies in building construction, inspection checks, enforcing safety policies, preparing, and presenting reports, managing supplies inventory, developing efficient routines, while engaging cost-effective approaches for growth having worked in private practice in different sectors such as real estate, power, hospitality, and agriculture. Prior to his role at UPDC FM Ltd, he was the construction/facilities manager at Tarabaroz Fisheries Limited (subsidiary of NAL-COMMET). Michael has a degree in Building and possesses a Masters of Facility Management from the University of Lagos.
